The San Fernando Valley Rugby Club is a successful and prestigious rugby club, located just north of downtown Los Angeles, California. Established in 1963, SFV competes in the 1st Division of the Southern California Rugby Union and is part of the USA Rugby Union. The club is composed of 35 to 50 active team players and an additional 50-150 members. The team demographics cut all across the board. They include multi-national, multi-racial players and professionals from England, Wales, Korea, Russia, Ireland, Tonga, New Zealand, Argentina, Peru, Bulgaria, Armenia, Jamaica and even the U.S. The club features a diverse collection of occupations including those working in the entertainment industry, information technology professionals, teachers, small business owners, and students.
